CHAMA Cha Wakunga Tanzania (TAMA) kimesema kuna haja yakuendelea kutoa elimu kuhusu wanaume kuwasindikiza wenza waliopata ujauzito kliniki kwakuwa muitikio ni mdogo ambapo asilimia 47 pekee ndo wanatekeleza suala hilo.
Akizungumza leo Februari 10, 2025 wakati wakufungua mafunzo ya kutoa huduma za dharula kwa wakunga wa Dar es Salaam kupitia mradi wa thamini uzazi salama Rais wa TAMA Dk.Beatrice Erastus Mwilike alisema wanaume wengi wamekuwa hawapendi kuongozana na wanawake zO kliniki huku wakitoa sababu mbalimbali zikiwemo suala la muda.
“Tukiangalia idadi ya wanawake ambao wanaongozana na wenza wao kliniki ndani kipindi cha kuanza kuanza kliniki hawazidi asilimia 47 na wengi wao hawaji vipindi vyote vinane,kwetu sisi hili tunaona ni tatizo kwakuwa utaratibu huu umewekwa ili mwanaume ujue viashiria vya hatari vya mwenza wako ili uweze kuokoa maisha yake na ya mtoto,”alisema Dk.Beatrice.
Alisema wanaume wamekuwa wakishindwa kuhudhulia kliniki na wenza wao kutokana na sababu mbali ikiwemo muda ambapo kwa sasa kumeanzishwa kliniki ya wikiendi.
Akizungumza kuhusu mafunzo hayo alisema lengo ni kuwafundisha kutoa huduma za dharula wakunga wa mkoa wa Dar es Salaam.
“Lengo ni kuwafundisha huduma za dharula,kujua changamoto mfano uangalie changamoto kutoka damu nyingi wakati wakujifungua unaitatuaje je,ikitokea umeshindwa kutatua kwa njia ya kwanza njia gani nyingine utumie.
“Mfano mtoto akitoka ametanguliza mabega namna yakumsaidia mama unafanyaje,namna yakutumia vacumu wakati wa kujifungua,”alisema Dk.Beatrice.
Amesema mrradi huo wa mafunzo ya thamini uzazi salama ni wa miaka saba na unatekelezeka katika mikoa ya Dar es salaam na Shinyanga ambapo kimekuwa na ongezeko kubwa la vifo vya wajawazito.

Kwa upande wa Mratibu wa Huduma ya Afya mkoa wa Dar es Salaam Agness Mgaya alisema changamoto zipo nyingi katika kuhudumia mama mjamzito pamoja na kichanga na hasa pale dharura inapokuwa inajitokeza hivyo mafunzo hayo yatasaidia kuwapa uelewa zaidi.
“Tunajua kuwa tunafanya vizuri kuwahudumia hawa wajawazito na watoto wachanga lakini lazima kila wakati tuwape watu elimu kwani kutoa huduma ya afya ni sayansi na sayansi inakuwa inabadilika kila siku kwaiyo pale ambapo panakuwa na maboresho lazima na sisi wakunga wetu wasiachwe nyuma waweze kujengewa uwezo na kukumbushwa nini ambacho kinapaswa kufanyika .
“Bado tunachangamoto kubwa kwenye ushiriki wa wenza kwenye huduma za afya uzazi na mtoto wanaume wamekuwa wapo mbali kuwasindikiza wake zao kwahiyo hapa nitoe wito wanaume waweze kuwasindikiza wake zao wanapoenda kupata huduma za afya ya uzazi mama anapokuwa mjamzito lakini pia wakati mama anapojifungua wamsindikize inamsaidia sana mama kupata moyo kwamba yupo na mwenzake na kumpunguzia maumivu ” amesema Agness.
